Fuel duty changes  

Duty on road fuels increases on 1 September 2009 by 2 pence per litre(54.19ppl to 56.19ppl) plus VAT, equivalent to 2.3ppl overall.

Further changes already announced in the 2009 Budget include I January 2010 VAT back to 17.5% from the current 15% rate and 1 April 2010 a duty increase of 1ppl above indexation.
