Join the only downstream event for the CEE region

21 June 2013
The 16th annual Central & Eastern European Refining and Petrochemicals conference takes place in Warsaw this October (15th – 17th) and promises an unrivalled speaker faculty from across the CEE region.
UKPIA’s Communications Director, Nick Vandervell, will join a host of high calibre speakers at the conference.
The conference will address the crucial issues currently facing the downstream oil industry.
Nick Vandervell said: “This represents an important opportunity for UKPIA to share the findings of the recently published independent report by IHS Purvin & Gertz for the UK Petroleum Industry Association, to help inform DECC’s study on the sector in the UK.”
He continued: “UK Refineries are impacted by multiple legislation, from both the EU and UK. It places on them challenging incremental cost demands in terms of operational and other requirements whilst severely disadvantaging them against global competitors. However, the right balance in policy and the regulatory framework, combined with resilience of product supply, is a prerequisite to ensure that oil products can be supplied to consumers in the future at affordable prices,  in a way that is secure, consistent with sustainable environmental policy and economic growth.”
